Hi Guys!
I decided that I would put up a baking blogpost everyday this week. Firstly I thought I would share this recipe with you all. I remember that at around this time of year when I was younger with my mum. Therefore I thought this would be a good place to start.
This recipe is part of a Children's Cookbook that my grandma got me when I was younger.
Ingredients
125g Soft Margarine
125g Caster Sugar
3 Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
5 tbsp Milk
200g Self-raising Flour
15g Cocoa Powder
75g Milk/Dark Chocolate
(I recommend using Dairy Milk as it melts better than the chocolate I used)
Steps
Step 1
Set oven to 190 degrees celsius (170 Fan oven)/ Gas Mark 5 and put the paper cases into a muffin tin.
Step 2
Beat margarine and sugar together in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
Step 3
Beat eggs, vanilla extract and milk together in a jug using a fork.
Step 4
Sift the flour and cocoa powder together.
Step 5
Beat a little of the egg mixture into the margarine mixture and then add a little of the cocoa mixture. Keep doing this until all of it has been mixed in.
Step 6
Spoon the mixture into the paper cases until half-full.
Step 7
Place a square of chocolate into each muffin case.
Step 8
Spoon the rest of the mixture into the paper cases.
Step 9
Bake the muffins for 15-18 minutes until well risen and the tops are cracked.
Step 10
Allow to cool and enjoy!
Thanks for Stopping By! :)
